I'm having a problem getting version 0.600 working. I had version 0.581 loaded previously, and it worked fine. First I moved all of the files to a backup directory. Then I unzipped 0.600 and copied the files to my GPL directory. I edited the .ini file to support my TrackIR by adding the 1.TIR option. When I tried to run GPL from GEM+2, I got the GPL splash screen, then it crashed to desktop. If I tried to run it by double-clicking on the gpl.exe file, it would run, but the shifter would not work. I tried using an old .ini file and got an error saying that it would use default setting. GPL ran then, but the shifter wouldn't work. I also tried running GPLPatch.exe to remove the GPLShift program, then I ran it again to repatch it. That did not help.
Do you have any suggestions of things I can try?
Does the program work with Pribluda? I have patched my GPL.exe with Pribluda since installing the v.581. That's why I removed GPLShift and re-installed it. But as I said above, that didn't help.

Hi Yippee38 There was another there have problems with 0.600 and GEM+, So I have tested GPL US/UK v1.2.0.1, 1.2.0.2, Demo 2004 with standard 67 & jf Carset v1.2, GEM+ 2.1/2.16, enabled almost all supports in GPLshift.ini and I have no problem! strange Try this little test for me: Thanks Move GPLshift.ini to another dir. (don't delete the file) Start GEM+, GPLshift+ should create a new ini, still problem? No: Try the add support in GPLshift.ini (one at a time) and start GEM+ Yes: move GPLshift.dll to another dir. and start again still problems? I will now try to find Pribluda and test it with GPLshift, GEM+ Edit: I have found error in the 2-IN-1 Adapter Box support, (second time ) so don't use time on test I will release a fix v0.601 later today Sorry for my English, I am Danish JSJ

Now I've found another problem. Everything works great using FD or FG cars, but if I try to use F2s, the shifter and the TrackIR don't work (I don't get the message indicating that the wheel and shifter are recognized).

Hi Yippee38
Do we have the classic GPLshift+/GEM+ 2 problem: GPLshift+ patched GPL.EXE, but unpatched GEM+ created GPL*.EXE files?
Try this little test: 1. Move all GEM+ created GPL*.EXE/INI files to another dir. (GPL65d, GPL65g, GPLa65 & INI, GPLc65, GPLces, GPLcfd, GPLcfg, GPLcfv)
2. Start GPLshift+ GPLpatch.exe: Click "no" if you see "IT SEEMS WE HAVE PATCHED GPL.EXE..." 3. Start GEM: The program should create new GPL*.EXE files, base on Patched GPL.EXE, when you starts GPL from there
Any luck?

Hi, Friday I got my new trackIR3 Pro and installed it. It works fine in GTR and, after I installed your 0.601 gplshift utility and edited 1.tir, also GPL worked. After starting the GPL65-patch again, also this was working fine. And here comes my problem: Yesterday, my trackIR would'nt work with GPL anymore. I unpatched and patched new etc. it wouldn't like to work. (In GTR all was fine.) I also tried to patch a new, unpatched gpl.exe - same result.
Please help, thanks in advance Rolf

Hi JSJ,
yes, Blue Light is shining.
Yesterday, I read again in Naturalpoint forums and found two settings, that I will try out: 1) I have the Vector hat, but in trackIR software, I will set it to Dot tracking 2) In Hotkeys I will change the activation key of toggle to on
That's what I found. What do you think about this. When I tested it this evening, I will give you a message.

Rolf I thought it was the classic GEM+ problem you had: "Patched GPL.EXE but unpatched GEM+ created GPL*.EXE files" but it can't been that because of the blue light, so I am lost here, right now, but can you try out this test for me, to get closer to the bug(?), if you still have problems: Run GPL in a desktop window, and see TrackIR's Head moving/or not in the same time: 1. Set "fullScreen = 0" under [ Raserizer ] in GPL core.ini 2. Set Windows to 16 bit colors, it is necessary to avoid strange GPL 16bit grapfic behaviours 3. Start GPL 4. Go into GPL's OPTIONS/GRAPHICS and set RESOLUTION til e.g. 640x480/800x600 (to avoid slow FPS, and get room for TrackIR's Menus) 5. Go into TrackIR View menu and click on Tracking & heads, any moving here? (Your Head, In-game Head) and GPL's IN Car View? Thanks for the help I have only tested NP up to v4.00 Build 20, I will test build 21 later today. Sorry for my English, I am Danish JSJ

You won't believe, what I found out:
1. I did exactly what you were writing.
2. I noticed that if I clicked at heads-point in the trackIR software, some long time went before this window opened, but then it showed working heads.
3. In GPL nothing happend. I was in Monaco. I changed to Monza, because some days ago, I installed a very big update and got long loading times. In Monza, all was fine. Headtracking was ok. Other tracks also, but back to Monaco it was out. At starting was a very little moving (ein Ruck, as we say in Germany, don't know the englisch word in this moment)
Some days ago, I installed the new Monaco rocks 2 Beta and all I tried was in Monaco. No trackIR in Monaco. But in all of the other tracks it was working fine.
I think, I was bad searching a mistake in gplshift. It is definitely in Monaco Rocks beta2!!! Maybe too large for GPL? I'm no programmer and don't know the reason for this mistake, but it will be found out, Ibelieve!
So all I can say is a very big thank you again, JSL
