Hi JSJ First of all, your utility is brilliant! It takes GPL to new heights, IMO. I have just bought a TrackIR www.eyecontrol.com/ which is a hands free mouse that you control with head movement. This is unbelievably good in IL2, and I was wondering if there's anyway that mouse input could be used to control left and right view panning in GPL? Cheers Gerry

Hello GPL Fans
I have released v0.57 with Look L/R via mouse support (= 1.MOU) and seems working, also with a TrackIR unit under Win98se, BUT have serios problem under WinXP (no SP1 inst.) with TIR unit > GPL FPS drop to almost zero, so long as TIR can see the DOT, can you confirm that GPLshift+ (?) errror?

It's working fine here! Windows 98 SE + V5 5500. I'll upgrade to Win XP once I've updated to another videocard.
Thank you very much, I'm very happy with it!
I do have some wishes, though.... <g>
An alternative for the right mouse reset button.
Now the mouse/TIR movement seems to be logaritmic. Is it possible to make it linear with an adjustable deadzone?
Again, thank you!

Ah, I found there is already a deadzone! Sorry, I missed that. However, AFAIK there is no possibility to alter the logaritmic scale which is used right now. Correct me if I'm wrong... Anyway, many thanks! Remco

Hey JSJ thanks for this support for Track IR I love it makes GPL so much more fun and it was fun anyway. Just a note for you though, there are now newer drivers for Track IR here version 1.22 that might fix the promblem with your Track Ir in GPL in XP You can grab the 1.22 drivers here games.naturalpoint.com/support/downloads.htmlAlso there are now offical Track IR forums at the link below with a GPL forum there all because of your work in getting Track IR working in GPL, well actually there is a small survey that they like you to take before the forum link come up but if you dont want to take part just go to the link below that Link to survey before the forums www.headtracking.com/survey/survey.htmlLink straight to the forum forums.naturalpoint.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

Hi
I have notice it at rec.autos.simulators, but thanks for the Links (I have lot of trouble with my inet. connecting to some webside and that Newsgroup, and other)
I have tried with v1.22 (without GPLshift+ inst.) But still the same: almost zero FPS, when the TrackIR can see the DOT, seems to be a WinXP + TrackIR sw + GPL special problem.
Looking forward to receive a email from Halstead York about his test under WinXP.....
d**n, it seems I have 2 mail in my mailbox, but can't receive them in my Inbox
Back to the work with bug fix 0.572 and Non/Linear attempt for Look L/R MOU mode

Wow what a utility, thanks
I got the track ir to work with gpl but I don't understand two things
1. How do I set it to look left or right further then the standard left and right glance i.e.: how to make it look back toward the engine?, could you send screenshot of your settings?
2. How to assign the F12 key the centering key, a screenshot would also be a great help.
Is there anyway you could convert this utility for NASCAR 2003?
Baby steps for me please.
Thankyou for a great utility.
David

JSJ, I was wondering how things were going with attempting to get TrackIR to work in Enhanced mode in GPL? I saw a thread you posted in on the NP forums. I also noticed your development remarks on the site to download your utility where you mention Enhaced mode. I'm an avid TrackIR user and I'd love to use it with GPL too.

Works like a charm in enhanced mode! Usually crashes Track IR software when I exit GPL, but I can restart Track IR immediatly. I'd also like to get more than the 122 deg. lateral limit. Matt
