I just installed the GPL 69 mod and discovered a problem. When the TrackIR software is running, the driver's head is mounted on the rear wing. The view is from that perspective (though you cannot see the nose of the car, only the tires and suspension). If I exit GPL, turn off the TrackIR software and restart GPL, the driver's head is in the correct position. Recentering the view does not help. It only adjusts the left/right position. If I run the '67 cars with TrackIR on or off the driver's head is in the correct position. Here's a screenshot where you can see the helmet sitting up on the wing. Any ideas?

What I found out (maybe a little help) are 2 things: 1 When I start Gem + GPL69 and TrackIR software is running, but I don't use Vector-unit or one of the dots, than the head is on the right position and I can drive in perfect thingypit view, but without head-moving.
2 But If I use vector or a dot, that means the TrackIR-unit recognises something, than the head is sitting on top of the wing. That means, only if the TrackIR-unit becomes active, than happens the head-problem.

WinXP Home GPL 1.202 US Track IR 3 pro with Vector TrackIR Version 4.1 Build 25 Yes. A License.dat and license.sig file in /NaturalPoint/TrackIR4/License/ GEM+ 2.3.52
It does it with all chassis. I discovered something interesting though. If I hold the hat low enough so only the top reflective sticker from the Vector unit is showing in TrackIR's "Tracking" window, the head position is correct. It doesn't react to the TrackIR at all though. When all three dots on the Vector are showing in the "Tracking" window, the driver's head is up on the wing, and it reacts correctly to hat movement. With no dots showing in the "Tracking" window the head position is correct and does not move.
'67 cars work fine.

Just to clarify, it does it with all 7 69HWNG cars.

I don't have any other util to change driving view, I only uses GPL Shift for that, but after install of the 69 mod it don't work anymore. Before I used it in both 65 and 67 cars, and the only thing I changed was when in car moving my head upp/down and back/forward, nothing else. Win XP Pro GPL 1.202 UK ATI Radeon 9800pro D3D
Hope you manage to find a fix for this.

Hi JSJ, do you really think, that your software GPLshift is in an Alpha stage? It is working great with GPL65, 67. This isn't an Alpha anymore, I don't even think, it's a Beta.
It's a complete great tool, giving us head movement!

JSJ, While on the subject of head position. There's something else that has been bugging me for a while. It's not a big deal, but it may be related. If so, maybe you could address it with the 69 head position issue. I've noticed that after I center my viewing position with the hotbutton I have set up to do that in GPLShift, my head is not centered in the thingypit. It is the same in every '67 and '65 car. It is just a bit to the right. Here's a screenshot: You can see from the outside view that the head appears positioned correctly though.

Yippee38, Yes I have notice it under driving with some of the cars, and it's sometime very irritated, will try to fix it later.
Rodolfo, Maybe I should call it final Beta after 5 years development ;-)

Regarding the centering issue:
I've tried most combinations of 3 cars and 5 screen resolutions. The slight look to the right only occurs in 1152x864 and 1440x900. It doesn't occur in 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768. Hope that helps.
