key/button assignment

[backyard mechanic]

I have built my own H-shifter that operates by remotely activating keyboard buttons/keys. E.g., 1st gear is the "/" key, 2nd is "v".
From what I have read, I cannot assign these in GPLShift. Is this true?

Yes it's true , but try with PPJoyKey (Key2Button tool) together with GPLshift+

Thanks for the help, but unfortunately is does not seem to work. I'll fiddle about a little more to see what I can do. It is not the end of the world
