I have downloaded the latest version of GPLShift which supports the G27. How do you assign the shifter to each individual gear position. At the moment I can only assign gear up and gear down, not individual gear positions eg. Button X for 1st gear, Button Y for 2nd gear, etc.
Am I missing something?
Thanks

OK, I have changed the settings in the .ini file from "AUTO" to "1.USB" and now the shifter is being recognised, except that the H-pattern gearbox buttons are not assigned to the gears. Instead the buttons above the 8 way pad are assigned to some gears and one of the buttons on the wheel is assigned to another gear. I have left the standard control settings in the game assigned to KP + and KP -. Is there anyway to change which buttons are assigned to the gear positions?
Also, force feedback is not working at all on the G27 with this game even with all the settings showing it enabled. Any ideas?

You can't assign positions to gears in GPL. However, in GPLShift.ini, there are several shift pattern options available: Shifting_Behaviour = where the number determines which pattern it is.
You might want to delete the controls.cfg file to start over with axis assignments. But as I say, you shouldn't have to assign any specific gear positions in GPL.
For Force Feedback, make sure that in the core.ini file in the gpl folder, you have the line:
[ Joy ] allow_force_feedback = 1

Yes, I have seen the shifting behaviour options in the .ini file. It is currently set to 1 which is correct for the G27.
I am interested to hear if anyone else has got the G27 working straight up with GPLShift. It seems to me that the G27 button assignments might be different to the G25 (but assumed the same?), hence the H-pattern buttons do not match up with what GPLShift assumes are the H-pttern buttons? I could be wrong here? I have spent so much time trying to get this to work with no luck. Very frustrating!!
The force feedback is enabled as you have mentioned above. Once again, I think this is a common problem with the G27 as FFB is not working in rFactor either. I have done alot of reading on forums to find other having the same problem and it has something to do with the LED's. Once again, if anyone is using a G27 with GPL (or rFactor for that matter) and has FFB and H-pattern shifter working, please let me know how you did it!
Thanks in advance.
