Reloading GPL problem

I have recently reloaded GPL on a new system. It has been a few years since I have used GPL and would really like to spend some time now that I have retired. My new system has an i920 Intel processor with 6Gig of memory and a nvidia 285-GTX video card. I also have a TH2Go with 3x22 inch flat panels that work great with iRacing. I used the following directions to reload GPL but it doesn't work right in GPL. Poor graphics and the centerline is way off to the right. It won't work in D3D but does in OpenGL. Any suggestions?

2. grab Nigel Patterson's new rasterizersgplrast_v2.5.rar as well from this same link, also grab the latest gpl patch 1.3GPL_67_1.3_PATCH.zip, this will enable you to run the latest Targa Florio track just released! Also make sure you grab the 60fps patch 60fpsc1.zip (also gplra780_80.zip?) and pribluda pribluda1110.zip. I would run OGLV2?? on your system, so you want the latest version of pribluda that works with that just so you know which ver. to get.

3. gpltd.bcsims.com/?ir=Mods this is where you download the latest GEM/IGOR package that will allow you to install all the latest gpl mods, 65,66,69,etc.. and their required patches. the lovely thing is you can download everything right there! For the 65 mod though, you will need to download Clermont Ferrand and East london 65 from the gplea track database before you install the 65mod patch. from the posted link, just click on search, then tracks. its all in alphabetical order, you can get every track ever created for GPL right there. btw, the all in one installer included every original gpl track with all the updates minus monaco rocks. so make sure you get that! www.dixierunners.speedgeezers.net/mrocks/

4. btw, to make gpl work with your triple head system, "essential I know for you!" make sure you grab gplshift, this has support for your 3 screen system. it has the added benefit of letting you change your field of view incar, for wider or narrower view. you can even move your view up/down, front and back. and if your a purist like Bo, it lets you use the G25 shifter or whatever shifter you use Thomas? .get the latest version here. www.gplshift.dk/GPLshift/index.htm GPLshift0771.zip

I'm not sure what you mean by "centerline is way off to the right". Is the full image appearing on your monitor as just a partial window or corner of the screen?

If you have GPL showing up just as a part of the image in the corner of the screen, look in the core.ini file in the GPL folder and try using either DirectMirrorRendering = 1 or DirectMirrorRendering = 0

Thanks Bob, I have figured out part of my problem. My son was down over xmas and he found a resolution option I had missed. It does work in OGL with V2 rasterizer.

My problem now is changing the FOV. I can move forward and back in the c0ckpit but that doesn't really change the FOV? I have tried changing it in Gem and Shift but all it does is move me forward or back; if that makes any sense.

I am also trying to figure out where to adjust the monitor bezels? iRacing will do it for you but you take a huge frame hit; TH2Go's MATROX.PDesk.UI manager will do it, works great in other sim's, but I can't seem to find a setting that GPL likes?

My GPL setup for TripleHead2Go ( tested June 2009:)

I haven't drive GPL since May 2008 and when I tried last summer I only got Graphic & CTD errors! Heeeelp,
But okay after following installings: Big Thanks to these creater/owner!!! BTW

Installed GPL US/UK v1.2.0.2 via GPLPS GPL Installer (gplinstallermax_0.97_*.exe) to C:\Sierra\GPL\
(remember to have your org. GPL CD ready)

Installed Nigel's GPL Custom D3D & OpenGL Raterisers v2.5 (gplrast_v2.5.rar)

Windows XP 32bit Home P. Danish: Desktop -> 3840x1024 resolution (or 5040x1080 if supported by TH2G)
so I can select same resolution in GPL's Graphic Option + change from RastD3D to OpenGLv2

FOV:
Gem's FOV setting have no effect when using GPLshift's TH2G support
( Adjust_InCarView = AUTO )

And there seems to be problems with GPLshift's FOV support ( [ ZOOM ] ) with the new CAR67 Mod?
I will look at it Jan. 2010

BTW TH2Go's "bezel management" tool has no effect in GPL, fyi.

1 - make sure that in GPLShift.ini, you have:

[ TripleHead2Go Adjustment ]---
Adjust_InCarView = off

when you want to adjust the FOV. You should be able to go back to auto after the FOV is changed.

2 - then the procedure is:
a) set Adjust_InCarView = off
b) with GEM closed, delete the exe for the GPL mod that you want to change - i.e. delete gplc65.exe for the 65 cars etc
c) open GEM and change the FOV setting and run GPL - note you won't get any FOV change over around 120° - that's the max in GPL
d) restart GEM to make sure to create a new gplc65.exe
e) repeat for all the mods that you have
f) reset Adjust_InCarView = auto if you use TH2Go
