Hello,
Posted this at the Sim Racing Mirror Zone but it might be more appropriate here.
I don't know if these are GPLshift problems or not but I'm having trouble setting up functions for my G27 using the latest version of this utility.
1. I want to set the six red buttons on the wheel to control the look left/right (45, 73 and 122 degrees) functions. I set the upper buttons for 45 degrees, the middle buttons for 73 and the bottom buttons for 122. The bottom buttons seem to be working OK but there is no difference between the upper and middle buttons. They both seem to give a 45 degree view.
2. I wanted to set the volume controls to the top/bottom/left/right positions of the POV hat They show up in GPL as buttons 24 through 27. and so I set them up using 1.BUT and buttons 24 to 27. I realize I might have to set them up as 1.POV but what are the button numbers that go with the POV? And what about the Upper Left/Upper Right/Lower Right/ Lower Left positions? GPL doesn't seem to recognize these.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

JSJ,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I'm away from my GPL computer today but I'll send the gplshift.ini file to you as soon as I get back.

Thanks for the detailed description of your buttons problem you send me, it was needed! And there seems to be problems in GPLshift, back later, hopefully with update of gplshift.dll I will send to you for test...

Did this ever get solved?
I too am having trouble mapping the expanded L/R degrees to the red buttons on a G27 wheel. I only want to set the top two buttons to show L/R 73 degrees but it will not map correctly. I've tried many choices for Look_Right73d_Button assignments. Buttons 1,2,3 and 4 on the shifter unit function OK for looking right 73 degrees. Even buttons 5 and 6 (the shifter paddles) seem to operate the look right function (while simultaneously shifting the gears). But higher than that and things go bad.
Note should be made that I have the in-game Look Left set to button 8 and Look Right set to button 7. The natural choices.
With those settings:
Setting Look_Right73d_Button = 7 in the GPLshift.ini file will not give 73 degrees of action but instead gives the default of 45 degrees right. But strangely, when I reverse the in-game settings to Look Left = Button 7 and Look Right = Button 8 (leaving the GPLshift.ini set to Look_Right73d_Button = 7) the 73 degrees can be achieved but only in the left direction. In other words, Button 7 can be made to look 73 degrees left but not right, depending on the in game direction setting not the GPLshift.ini setting.
