No Reverse Gear

Can someone please help, this is driving me nuts!

Recently installed Grand Prix Legends on a new computer using Windows 10.  Have managed to get everything working OK apart from the fact I cannot get reverse gear.  The wheel and gearshift is a Logitech G27 and I have set the install file for GPL Shift to AUTO.  A message pops up on screen and says G27 has been detected etc and as I say everything works bar reverse gear.  I have tried altering the settings in the install file as it seems option 9 gives me the correct gear pattern i.e 12345R but to no avail.  I may have not altered this correctly as it is slightly unclear what exactly to enter. In shifter mode to switch to USB setting for example, do you enter #.USB or .USB or simply USB.  I am afraid my knowledge does not stretch to altering computer programmes.  The strange thing to me is that in AUTO mode for the G27 setup it implies there are 8 gear options where my wheel only has 6?

In the past I have used the Fairshift gear programme and this allows me to use reverse gear but for some strange reason the programme closes itself down after approximately 10 minutes so this is no good either.

Any help on the above would be gratefully received.

Interesting. I have a problem where reverse is intermittent, but I've been thinking it's the pots in my G25 H-shifter. I'll have to try the Fairshift program.

Yes, Fairshift didn't change anything for me in terms of reverse. I is still intermittent. I didn't try Fairshift long enough to see if it might stop working.
