Unable to Get Started with GPLShift

I'm having trouble getting any of the GPLShift functions to work.  Here's how I installed it.

1) Started with patched GPL.EXE, including
-Carsound
-Disco patch
-All F2 engines (FD)

2) I put all the gplshift files into the GPL directory

3) Next I ran gplpatch.exe.  It reported success

4) Next went into GPL to test Zoom.  No response from the arrow keys.

5) I also tried setting the look left/right to 135.  But the default view was used.

6) I tried using a pre-configured gplshift.exe from a friend.  Still no good


My config:
-LWFF (Using profiler with default views)
-XP
-Standard keyboard with PS/2 connector
-GPLSHift 0.541

What am I missing?
