*JSJ*,
I'm having a CTD problem with v0.504.
I have been using v0.320 and v0.401 without any problems for my RS Shifter and USB Shifter (yes, I have one of each).
I have tried to install and use the new version of your utility. The installation seems to go fine. However, I keep getting a CTD when I get to the final track-loading screen in GPL.
I'm running Win98SE. My GPL.exe is v1.202. I have tried using both patched (e.g., GPLseason) and unpatched versions of GPL.exe 1.202, and I get the same CTD result. I have reinstalled v0.401 of your utility, and GPL runs fine again.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks for your great software!

ozz,
From *JSJ*'s Readme for v0.504:
"Have only been tested at very few Pc's, in most case under Win98se, but seems also running under ONE Win2000/XP test."
If I understand this statement correctly, the primary intended OS is actually Win98SE rather than XP.

Hello GPL fan GPLshift should work under Win98se/2K/XP (hopefully) and with all diff. country version of GPL 1.2.0.1 /1.2.0.2(US/UK/IT...) So it seem to be a Bug in this case Jeff Lee: 2 Shifters, Wow Please give me little more info: GPL.EXE country version? CTD with both Shifters or one of them? in what mode (AUTO #.USB #.RWS) Wheel? (e.g ACT LABS ForceRS or Non FF) And send me your GPLshift.ini, so I can test with it TEST of v0.504 After CTD: Move GPLshift.ini to a another dir. then start GPL, a new .INI should be created with only Shifter support enabled (AUTO mode) still problem? If not, when enable the same function(s) as in moved .INI (one at a time) and start GPL, so I have a better chance to locate the error in GPLshift.dll Thanks *JSJ*

*JSJ*,
Thanks for helping me sort this out.
To answer some of your questions:
1. GPL.EXE country version? U.S.
2. CTD with both Shifters or one of them? So far I have only been able to try the USB Shifter (see #4 below).
3. In what mode (AUTO #.USB #.RWS)? I have tried AUTO and #.USB (where # is the Controller ID#); CTD both ways.
4. Wheel (e.g ACT LABS ForceRS or Non FF)? Currently I am using a Logitech MOMO Force wheel, ACT LABS Performance pedals, and the ACT LABS USB Shifter. All axes are recognized in GPL, even with the USB Shifter plugged in, and as I mentioned in my first post, v0.401 of GPLshift works just fine with this setup. I am using this setup currently because I am waiting for parts for my Force RS wheel; I wore out one of the Force RS wheel belts playing GPL! I would be happy to try the rest of the configurations you mention in your post with the ACT LABS wheel once I get the wheel repaired. I am expecting the parts any day now, although I'll be out of town until Saturday so I won't get things sorted out until then. Perhaps the problem I'm having with v0.504 is related to my Logitech wheel?
5. And send me your GPLshift.ini, so I can test with it. On its way.
6. After CTD: Move GPLshift.ini to a another dir. then start GPL, a new .INI should be created with only Shifter support enabled (AUTO mode) still problem? Yes, same problem. Using the default settings in GPLshift.ini results in the same CTD.
